We are all the stars of our own personal 'movie'. We produce, direct and act in our own life story each and every day. Now and then, especially at this time of year, our personal extravaganza runs a little short of excitement. We find ourselves appearing in a personal movie so dull that even we ourselves would not want to go see it. That's when we have to shout "CUT" and demand a re-write. It's up to us to add the excitement, fun, and adventure back into our personal feature film. And Exalano Day, Saturday, March 4, is the right day to do just that.
Exalano Day was created as a unique holiday where we should all march forth from our daily routine and do something new, different, and fun. The annual call to celebrate Exalano Day has been issued in each of the last 30 years by the Exalano Day Committee (the EDC), an independent production company on a mission. The word 'Exalano' comes from the Greek word meaning 'to march forth', and hence it is a natural idea to declare that the fourth day of March should be called Exalano Day. On this most unique holiday, the Exalano Day Committee declares that you should march forth and spend some time remembering how to have fun - by changing your script, going on location and doing something special for yourself.
Exalano Day is a freeform, unconventional holiday dedicated to the concept of taking one day a year to intentionally enjoy oneself. With a loud call for "ACTION", this year the EDC calls on all the world to march forth, throw out the script, change the camera angles and add some fun to your personal movie. Most of all, Exalano Day is a great day to zoom in on the fun things that make life worth living. Whatever script you follow, just make sure your enjoy yourself!
Happy Exalano Day 2006 ... from your friends at the EDC.
